DanRad, Michael Urie & David Hyde Pierce? WIN!!!!
Well, DanRad's in NYC for the reading of "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" along with the amazing Michael Urie (who tweeted about it today) and the most fabulous David Hyde Pierce. Michael read for D.Hyde Pierce's nephew and DanRad's nemesis.  First things first. Daniel Radcliffe was AMAZING. He interpreted the role in a charming, adorable and fresh way. He sang great. I think everyone was there to see if he could do it. And boy, he really did it. He was great. He came off as a full-fledged musical star. Those of us who saw him in Equus know he has the stage chops as a dramatic actor but now I can say that he could easily take Broadway by storm as a musical comedy star, too. After that final Harry Potter movie comes out, this guy can do whatever he wants in any medium. I loved him. And it seems to me that he is the youngest actor to play the role of Finch. Metallica's James Hetfield told The Pulse of Radio that his least favorite Christmas involved learning the truth about a certain figure in a red suit. Tennant 'greatest Doctor of all'
 David Tennant has been voted the greatest Doctor Who of all time in a new poll. And fans questioned by Gocompare.com would rather have Ewan McGregor, or even Russell Brand, as the next Time Lord than David's actual successor, Matt Smith. Asked to vote for their favourite Doctor, almost 46 per cent of the 2,000 polled chose David Tennant, who bows out in the Christmas special this year. Moulin Rouge star Ewan was the number one choice to be the next doctor with 21 per cent of the votes, while Matt Smith, who is taking on the role in the BBC show came in sixth place, behind My Family's Kris Marshall, Jonathan Creek star Alan Davies, Russell Brand and Stephen Fry. Publicists for the upcoming 'Sherlock Holmes' movie are very concerned that its star, Robert Downey Jr., can't stop hinting that the great dapper detective's relationship with Dr. Watson may involve more than just solving crime. "When Robert joked with Letterman that they might be 'homos,' Warner Brother executives died," laughed one industry insider who believes Downey is messing with studio bigwigs. During Downey's interview on Letterman, he was asked if Holmes and Watson had "a different level of relationship." Downey quickly shot back with a smirk: "That they were homos ... That is what you're saying" A chuckling Letterman replied "In a manner of speaking, yes ... that they were closer than just out solving crimes." After further banter, Downey left it up to the people. New discs from the likes of U2, Mariah Carey, Tim McGraw, Bon Jovi, 50 Cent and Norah Jones have sharply underperformed. Overall U.S. album sales in 2009 are on track to slide for the eighth time in nine years. Shakira is the latest addition to the casualty list. The Colombian sex symbol’s electronica-fueled new album looks to be her weakest performer in almost 10 years. “She Wolf,” Shakira’s third English-language recording, currently stands at No. 43 on the Billboard 200, two weeks after debuting at No. 15 with puny sales of 89,000 units. Sales to date stand at 158,000 — equivalent to what current Billboard 200 champ Susan Boyle’s debut album sold in its first 1.5 days, last month. Shakira’s label is not too worried. “After a four year hiatus, Shakira came back with a great album and we are very happy with its progress, this project was never about the first month for us,” said a spokeswoman for Epic Records. Christmas Comes Early for Clifford .... remains sexy while doing so
 By Nedra Rhone The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Atlanta rapper Clifford “T.I.” Harris Jr., was released from prison Tuesday morning after serving about 7 months at a low-security penitentiary in Forrest City, Ark. He is expected to serve the remainder of a reduced sentence in a correctional center near Fulton County Airport. Harris' attorney Steve Sadow, who confirmed Harris' release, said it is "not out of the ordinary." Harris was sentenced to a year and a day in prison for weapons charges resulting from an October 2007 incident when he was arrested for sending a bodyguard to purchase machine guns and silencers. Sadow said prisoners sentenced to 366 days are eligible for a 54-day sentence reduction for good behavior. The Bureau of Prisons will consider a prisoner with six months or less remaining on his or her sentence for a halfway house. Harris was expected to report to Dismas Charities Atlanta West on Tuesday evening, Sadow said. He will remain there for about three months and will have to abide by the rules of that particular house. Typically, halfway house residents are allowed to leave the house during regular work hours and are allowed more contact with their families and communities. Once Harris completes his time in the custody of the Bureau of Prisons in late March, he will still have to finish serving just under 500 hours of community service and about 23 days of home incarceration, Sadow said. Still, it all seems to have worked out quite well for the platinum-selling recording artist who has had some 32 past arrests for weapons violations and a conviction for dealing crack cocaine. What could have been a 10-year prison sentence was dramatically reduced by a plea agreement, in which Harris was asked to publicly speak out about the error of his ways. According to a press release from concert promoters SJM, 'Once' is a "quirky, synth-based single" featuring the hook: "I'm only going to let you kill me once." Vickers's currently-untitled debut album, which features collaborations with Ellie Goulding, Guy Sigsworth and Lightspeed Champion, will follow in late April. She will preview material from the record on her first headline tour - announced earlier today - which kicks off at Bristol Cooler on March 20.
